Visit to Baldrine Dairy Farm. Meet at the Baldrine Methodist Church Hall at 18:00 and collect at 19:30. The Beavers will walk up the short country lane and be able to watch the milking and see the other farm animals.

 Meet at the Beach. This is a World Cup themed evening of football.

Cycling along Douglas Promenade. Beavers will be invited to collect sponsor money which will be divided between Group funds and the national World Friendship Appeal Fund, which pays for Scouts from poorer countries to attend jamborees.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

St George's Day Parade (23 April)
Rushen Abbey

This year's St George's Day parade will be held on 23 April at Rushen Abbey. All members of the Group are expected to attend. This is a island-wide event and all Scout Groups will be in attendance. Parents are welcome to come along and watch but please do not walk in the parade with your child! See the letter below for more information:

Marown School

This year's Inter Island Beaver Sport's Day will be held at Marown School.

Explorer's Badge Walk (28 May)

Agneash Village

Meet at Laxey School at 10:00. We shall then transport the Beavers to the start of the footpath off Ballaragh Road. We will walk up Slieau Roy and down into Agneash. This is a fairly long walk which takes about 2 hours at adult pace. We shall go slowly, with picnic and games at the top and are planning to take 4 hours. Beavers will be expected to bring a healthy packed lunch, suncream, hat and sensible clothes. Please collect them from Agneash at 14:00.
Island Wide Sponsored Walk (23 June)

This will be a walk along the old railway path from Crosby to St Johns. Sponsor money will again go towards the World Friendship Appeal Fund.

Laxey Fair (24 June)

Laxey Fair We shall be having a stall at the Fair this year, organised by our Chairman Nick Boon. We shall require some of our Beavers (in uniform) to help with this after the actual sing song, etc. Further details to follow.
Beavers 20th Birthday Part (15 or 16 July)
Date and location are not yet fixed for this Island Wide event. It may be held at QEII School.
