Christmas Party - Last Night (15 December)

The last night of term was spent in our traditional manner, making Christmas Crafts. This year it was a Christmas box filled with chocolates!

Tonight we also invested Owen A, our newest Cub and said goodbye to Sixers Edward K, Chris B and Greg M. Eddy was the last of the original 2003 batch of Cubs and so tonight marks the end of an era for the King Orry Pack.

Trip to Onchan Library (8 December)

After much postponement, the trip to Onchan Library was held on 8 December. The Cubs learnt about the organisation of a library, completed a Hans Christian Anderson quiz and were read to before returning to the hall for some games. This trip counts towards their Book Reader badge.

(Apologies for the poor photos above)

Trip to 2nd Onchan Bunkhouse (17 September - 18 September)

Leaders: Akela, Chil & Kaa. Cubs (Overnight): Jack B, Chris B, Joseph C, Cai I, Edward K, Greg M, Ryan O, & Mick W. Cubs (Day Trip): Freddie B, Louisa B, William B, Jake C, Henry F, Charlie H, Frankie L, Annie M, Fynn S & Sam W.

A overnight stay for the sixers/seconders and a day trip for the rest of the pack. This event was held at Watertrough Cottage, Foxdale - the 2nd Onchan Scout Group's Bunkhouse. Having arrived early on Saturday evening, the older Cubs played in the forest before hiking partially up South Barrule in the wet, mist and rain and playing a wide game in the dark. Chil and Kaa then managed to get 4 or 5 hours sleep before getting up for the rest of the Pack's arrival at 10am. The day's activities included shelter building, bridge building, compass work and an unaccompanied treasure trail walk through South Barrule plantation. Everyone went home at 16:00 filthy dirty - especially Joseph C.
