2 March	Personal Safety Badge: A Visit from the Community Fire Officer	• Explain the dangers of playing on or near railways, busy roads, building sites, cliffs, canal banks, sand/gravel pits, farmyards, river banks, quarries • Take part in a fire drill. • Know what precautions to take to protect their home, Scout meeting place, Pack camp against the risk of fire. • Explain the importance of a smoke detector. Know what they would do in the event of a fire in their home • Show they can use the Firework Code Make up a safety code of their own choice, e.g. car passenger, train passenger, and playground	Caring and Community

OTHER ACTIVITIES

BMX Track Opening & Bluebell Planting (22 January)

We will be meeting with the Beavers to help plant 1,000 Bluebells near the Old Film Studios in Glen Road. Meet at 10:30 am. You can bring your BMX Bikes if you like. Please also bring a trowel for the bulb planting. Should be finished by 11:30 am. Contact Akela for more details.

Scout Super Splash (11 March)

The annual Scout Super Splash competition is being held in Peel this year. Registration begins at 16:30 and the competition will run from 17:00 until about 19:00. The team will be chosen at a Cub meeting.

Fundraising Disco (18 March)

"Spring into Spring, come and help raise funds for Camping and indoor games equipment by supporting the disco."

On Saturday 18 March we are having a fundraising disco at Laxey Football Club 19:00 till 21:00. Tickets go on sale after half-term. The form contains further information and a 'ticket'.

All activities are at our usual time and venue unless stated.
