About Me: Hi, I’m Nicola; In May 2006 I became Group Scout Leader in Laxey, having stood down as Cub Scout Leader with the King Orry Pack which I lead for over 3 years. I have lived in Laxey for 5 years and started the King Orry pack when my son was 8, as the existing cub pack was full. I also have two daughters, one who is also a cub. I have been involved in Scouting since I was 16 years old when I became a Venture Scout (now known as Explorers). I have also had leadership roles in England as an Assistant Scout Leader and a Group Scout Leader. My hobbies apart from Scouting include running, gardening and playing the Saxophone. |

| About Me: I am 22 years old and have just completed a Maths degree at Warwick University. I know work as a trainee Actuary on the Island. I am interested in most outdoor activities but don't currently pursue any with great rigor! I am also interested in computing, finance, motor racing and golf. Prior to being a Laxey leader, I went right through the Scouting sections at 2nd Onchan, gaining my Chief Scout's Challenge, Chief Scout's Award and Duke of Edinburgh's Awards. See a similar profile for when I was 15 here. I began helping Stuart at Vikings in September 2001 as part of my Chief Scout's Award. It was supposed to be just for the term but I stayed on and became warranted when I was 18. Following the closure of the Vikings, I transferred to King Orry in 2005. I took over from Huw as CSL in September 2007. A year or so ago I dug out the old cub jumper pictured below and actually managed to put it on at a Cub Meeting

| About Me: Huw started helping with Cubs as an Assistant Leader in 2003 from the start of King Orry Pack, having been a Scout as a young boy. He then took over as Akela for athe school year 2006/2007. Huw has now reverted back to his old role as Bagheera and an Assistant Cub Scout Leader. Huw is currently on a sabattical for the school year 2007/2008 and thus whilst remaining on the 'roll call' will not attend meetings.

| About Me: Simon was elected as the Beaver Parent Representative at the 2005 AGM. Shortly afterwards he also started helping out at Beavers on a regular basis. In 2006, he stopped this and has now agreed to become a warranted ACSL with King Orry. He therefore resigned from the Committee at the 2006 AGM.
